New French Riviera/Provence Guide Out

We have just released the 4th edition of author Andy Herbach’s Open Road’s Best of The French Riviera & Provence guide, $12.95, available at Barnes & Noble, other retailers, and of course online at amazon here or bn.com here.

9781593602185This time around though, given the growing popularity of Nice, Monaco and the rest of the beautiful French Riviera, we renamed the book and led with this region. Provence is fully covered just as it has always been in this book. The photo on the front cover above comes from the lovely beach town of Villefranches-sur-Mer.

Can I eat ‘Krapfen’ – and Do I Want To?

The answer to the question posed in the title of this post, in short, is absolutely yes.  For krapfen is an Austrian jelly donut or fritter. And this is just one of an amazing world of Teutonic culinary delights with which many Americans remain at best only slightly familiar.
